Char is an amazing hairstylist and colorist...and an amazing person! She is one of the kindest people I know, truly cares about her clients, and consistently goes the extra mile to do a wonderful job for them. I have been a regular client of Char's for twelve years and I wouldn't trust my hair color to anyone else. Seriously, I don't know what I'd do without her! Char took me from black hair to the most beautiful buttery blonde hair and ensured my hair stayed healthy throughout. I'm not the easiest of clients, as my hair color pattern requires multiple different colors plus highlights and lowlights, and I think Char is one of the few who can nail it. I've followed Char to new locations for decades now and for good reason. She is the best hairdresser ever! Char takes the time to discuss what you are looking for, fixes your problem areas, and offers suggestions you may not have considered. She introduced me to pravana smoothout and gloss that make my hair so healthy, soft, and shiny. Her haircuts never disappoint. I visited Char at Studio C in Carmel, a quaint one chair location located midway on Dolores St. Carmel and surrounding areas are fortunate to have Char available. I went to Char just over a week ago for a big change on my super-fine, shortish hair. We chatted for several minutes about what I wanted and what I didn't, how much time I'm willing to spend on my hair, my lifestyle, my personality. Then I enjoyed a wonderful shampoo and scalp massage (yum!) then got down to business with the scissors. Char's attention to detail and continuous (but not overdone) checking in with me inspired confidence, and she made my hair do things it'd never done before. By the end of the appointment I was thrilled with the transformation and now, having lived with my new style for a week - long enough to try different products, styling tools and daily human situations, I'm so happy to have found my hair guru! New to the area and found Char online. Was blown away by her customer service skills - she really takes the time to get to know you and your hair. Beautiful one-chair salon, location can't be beat. I absolutely love my new cut and color! Char gave great advice as I was new to coloring my hair, and I'm so happy with the result.
